Bitcoin Photo Contest

Terms

• Image content: The idea is to show interesting, original photographs and artwork by and for the bitcoin community. Examples could be photographs of people using bitcoin, bitcoin spottings at interesting places, or bitcoin paintings. There is no limit to your creativity, as long as it has something to do with bitcoin! Our team constantly reviews photos and aims to publish them within 24h after submission. Multiple submissions per individual are possible. Photos depicting violence, pornography, or illegal activities are not be allowed. Photos mainly serving as advertisements will also not be allowed, e.g., banner ads or company logos. bit4coin reserves the right not to publish photos.
• Intellectual property: Artists are required to only upload original photos or artwork where they own the rights. Artists will retain full ownership rights and intellectual property on all submissions. bit4coin will only use photos in connection with the contest (e.g., a promotional tweet), or after separate approval by the artist.
• Duration, timeline, and submission: The contest is open for submissions at any time until October 15th, 2015. Jury members cast votes until October 21st, and winners are announced right after!
• Bitcoin tips: Every image has an associated BTC address. Participants can send bitcoin tips to "vote" for images with real money (=BTC!). Tips will be collected over the period of the contest, and transferred in full to the artists after the contest's expiration (note: subject to mining/transaction fee). bit4coin will not take any cut or commission from tips. Tips are independent of prizes!
• Determining the winner: After contest expiration, the top 50 ranked photos by votes and BTC tips will be selected. The three winners are determined by a jury consisting of our media partners. Each jury member has up to 5 votes, and is allowed to cast max 1 vote per photo. In case of ties, prizes will be split. Votes will be made public. bit4coin does not have a jury vote.
• Overall: We from bit4coin are trying to run a fair contest for the benefit of the bitcoin community. Prizes and all effort are self-funded. We have no financial interest, except for maybe a bit of visibility in the community :). Please contact us at support@bit4coin.net if you notice any irregularities. Finally, we reserve the right to ban users or photos if we notice any irregularities.
